ABBEY TOTS Mayo Abbey Community Childcare Services (M.A.C.C.S.) established in 2000, and now in 2010 this all day childcare service caters for 70 children.

The service caters for children in five strands, babies, wobblers, toddlers, preschool and after school service for National School children.

A visit to 'Abbey Tots', Mayo Abbey Childcare services in Co. Mayo reveals a facility second to none in the county. Nestled in the dynamic and vibrant community that is Mayo Abbey, the service has blossomed dramatically since it's beginning in 2001 and it is coming on in leaps and bounds every year since opening our new building in 2008. Our new facility was funded under EOCP funding, is a state of the art facility catering for Children of all ages from 4mths up to 12 years old.

Mayo Abbey Community Childcare Services (M.A.C.C.S.) is run by a Voluntary Committee who are responsible for the day to day running of the Abbey Tots service. M.A.C.C.S Committee Members work on a voluntary basis. The amount of effort that has been put into developing 'Abbey Tots' is immeasurable it is a wonderful example of teamwork with parents, staff, committee and children together, coupled with community involvement drawing on various links and groups within the parish and county.

Mayo Abbey Community Childcare Committee are a sub-committee under the umbrella of Mayo Abbey C.D.C. Ltd.
